Head to The Farmers Butcher at Swallowfields Farm, Bramshaw, on Saturday 7th November, from 10am to 4pm, for a Christmas market celebrating local makers and good food.

Run by Mike and Sarah Alexander, this New Forest butchery and farm shop puts quality meat and local provenance at the centre of its offering. It’s an ideal stop for anyone planning their Christmas menu or looking for advice on choosing the right cuts.

Browse the market, discover independent makers from around the New Forest and start your festive shopping while supporting local businesses.

Discover Dorset’s food, drink and independent makers at the Dorset Winter Food & Drink Fair at Athelhampton on Sunday 8th November 2026, from 10am to 3pm.

Set in the historic grounds near Dorchester, the weekend fair brings together more than 60 Dorset businesses. Browse cheeses, preserves, craft drinks, baked goods and handmade gifts, meet the producers and get your Christmas shopping underway.

Hot food and live music add to the occasion, with access to the formal gardens included in admission.

Adult entry costs £5; under-12s enter free. Last admission is 2.30pm.

Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market runs from 20th November to 22nd December 2026, bringing festive food, drink and independent makers to the cathedral’s historic grounds. Inspired by traditional German markets, its wooden chalets offer artisan produce, handcrafted gifts and plenty to explore over a warming drink.

For Food Folks readers, it’s a chance to discover producers, meet the people behind their products and find something delicious for the Christmas table.Entry is free, with no booking required. Open Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm, and Friday and Saturday, 10am to 8pm. Visit on a weekday morning for a quieter shopping experience.
